Top tips from Art Inc.

This summer I spent some time in some amazing book stores. I came across Art Inc. by Lisa Congdon, thanks to the Tate Modern bookshop and a long wait for a friend before going to see the amazing Sonia Delaunay exhibition
This little gem has re-energised me and my workflow.
Here's my 5 top tips from the book!

Art Inc. - Recommended book

Art Inc. was one of my summer reads and comes highly recommended by me.
It reminded of the small things and more importantly, how to re-energise myself when creativity seems to slip away.
It's definitely inspiration for my career ahead!

Hilights include interviews with some top practitioners and independent creative businesses and a step by step guide on how to create a vision map and reach your goals.

The only thing I would say is some of the legal stuff will not be that useful if you are practising in the UK, like me.

Thanks to Lisa Congdon, a fine artist and illustrator and author for sharing her tips and experience!

Art Inc.: The Essential Guide to building your career as an artist by Lisa Congdon is published by Chronicle Books.

I found it in the Tate Modern main bookshop - one of the best art book shops in London!

Serpentine gallery shop

This small but perfectly formed book shop in Serpentine Gallery has a great selection of contemporary and classic books and magazines covering a range of specialisms in the arts.
I absolutely love that it is situated in the heart of Regents Park and had some new titles to refresh my library.

Do you read me? #Berlinbookstore

I popped into this great bookstore on the last day of my latest Berlin visit ... a must do for book lovers and creatives!

I came across Lucky Peach and picked up a copy - an American quarterly journal of food and writing.

The cover is by Stacey Rozich.

The back cover is by Maren Caruso.
