World of Interiors - February 2012

A magical place I stumbled across in this month's World of Interiors magazine.

Although the article was a bit sad (it revealed it may close in a year if the owner can not find someone to take it over), it is also wonderful and inspiring to see such creativity on the walls of a what sounds like a truly historical building.

Taken over by a young couple in love, who got married and decided to decorate the bedrooms, Hôtel du Parc is a property filled with beautiful hand painted Art Nouveau designs dating back to the First World War.

Below are a couple of rooms, which I absolutlely love.
Perhaps inspired by one of my favourite artists; the prolific Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha. The designs were hand painted by Antoine Barateaud and remain in the building to this day.

Absolutely gorgeous.

  2. I'm also totally entranced by these images, but I'm having no success in finding the hotel's website or even their location. Does anybody know how to find them?
